Latest Updates on Behavioral Coaching and Myself

This is where...

This is where you can find updates about the website, updates to the business, new books I'm reading, the occasional meme about psychology and other behavioral health related things. If there is an important update it'll be marked as such. You can follow me at @TrainingHealthyMinds1 for bite sized posting of therapeutic information and CBT or DBT skills.

Group Workshop Details

(1.1) This workshop is dedicated to setting healthy boundaries in our life. That means with others, ourselves, and what we call the inner critic. We will learn how to set boundaries with others in a way that promotes compassion, while still preserving our right to have good mental health. We will learn about setting boundaries with ourselves and how we can often self-sabotage. We finally cover how to set boundaries with the "inner critic."

(1.2) After each main point, we will have group discussions to talk about the takeaway that each individual has found for themselves. Before the end of the workshop, we will practice putting all of it into action. After we practice and put it into action, there will be a roundup and opportunity to ask open ended questions. Both myself and the group can pitch in on what an answer could be. This contributes to the workshop and building relational thinking skills.

(2.1) The attendance fee will be $35 per seat. The workshop will be paid on a "per-seat" basis. That means that each individual person will pay for their "seat" to attend the workshop. The workshop will be over Zoom to allow country wide access to any who want to attend. This means if you have 2 people on your Zoom connection, you will be paying for 2 seats. If you have a family of 4 that you want to be present, the price will be the cost of 4 seats. The fee to attend is non-refundable. Please see sections 3 for more information.

(2.2) The duration will be about an hour and a half (1.5 hours). Depending on the size of the group, the amount of questions in the Q&A portion, and success of the practice portion, it may take up to 15 minutes more or less time. If you need to leave at any point, there will be notes emailed to the group after the workshop ends.

(2.3) There may also be a guest instructor from Arizona Crossroads, Elise Walker. This is my mother and the woman who helped me find this path. If you have not spoken with her, you will find that she is more than capable of teaching these skills, among others.

(2.4) Signing up does not guarantee that the workshop will take place, as unforeseen circumstances may dictate that the workshop needs to be rescheduled. If this is the case, you will be notified by email.

(2.5) When you sign up on Calendly, you will receive an email with a PDF program of the event, and places to write notes and Q&A responses. After the workshop closes, you will receive an email with notes and documents to assist your application of the workshop.

(3.1) Feel free to refer this workshop to your friends, family, or coworkers, etc. The more the merrier! There are 20 seats available total. Due to the nature of coordinating multiple schedules for those in attendance, I will be scheduling the workshop through Calendly. Meeting times will be predetermined. If you cannot attend after signing up, please cancel through the Calendly link. This allows us to control the available seats, automate the coordination of time-zones, and send reminders to all who sign up.

(3.2) Payment will be due on the day of the session. An email will be sent the day of the event, letting all who signed up know that the non-refundable attendance fee is now due by the written date.

(3.3) There is a $15 convenience fee if you are absent without notifying me ahead of time and have not paid the attendance fee. All fees are non-refundable. In order to avoid any fee's, please be confident that you can attend at the time you sign up for. The reason is so that if people do not attend after signing up, the other attendees can still benefit from the workshop without needing to cancel the event.

Reading: For When Everything is on Fire

July 4th, 2021

Currently I am reading a book by Dr. Scott Eilers titled For When Everything is on Fire. I am greatly enjoying this book. Actually, I'm learning a lot about myself while reading it. As it turns out, even if we think we've had an easy life - there may be some things that we haven't processed in our own childhood. Every day is an adventure. If you are curious about it, he has his book up on Amazon for sale.

I am not affiliated with Amazon or Dr. Eilers in any way and this is just because I enjoy reading this book.
